Question We fondly called it 'Pink Stuff'

It is a gelatin mold dessert (or very sweet salad) that actually looks a little inedible. But it was a staple on our holiday tables for 50 years. My mother is in a nursing home now; I've taken over the kitchen and lost the recipe

I know these are the ingredients (what a heart attach, huh?) and I know it's made in two steps (the creamy stuff folded into partially set gelatin) but I just don't remember the proportions. I am actually an absymal cook and am afraid it might get expensive if I have to start experimenting. Your kind help is appreciated.

Chopped maraschino cherries w/ juice
Knox unflavored gelatin
Cream Cheese
Whipped Cream
Crushed pineapple
Nuts

Here is a recipe that sounds similar to what you're describing. Hope it helps!

Ingredients:
1 (3oz) pkg lime gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 (3oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries

Directions:
In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; chill until syrupy. In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and pineapple; stir into cooled gelatin. Fold in whipped cream, pecans and cherries. Pour into a 4-cup mold coated with nonstick cooking spray. Refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
